Dear Fellow Horse Enthusiast
When your dream is to connect with your horse on a deep level and the reality is very different, it can be truly disheartening, can't it?
You feel like you've watched all the videos, attended all the clinics, tried everything you know but still don’t have the connection you seek or the respect you want.
I know this can leave you feeling pretty frustrated, anxious and yes, sometimes lonely, but let me set your mind at ease - you’re not alone in feeling the way you do.
And now there's a new breed of maverick horse trainer who are pioneering a much simpler approach to success with your horse.
An approach that does away with all of the stress, drama and frustration normally associated with training.
Their approach is so simple, even complete novices are enjoying great success with it because it's based on a tradition going back thousands of years.
In fact, when you discover exactly how these mavericks are teaching, you'll wonder why no-one ever showed you before.
So don't give up on your dreams just yet because you could be playing with your horse and communicating without words sooner than you think.
I'll introduce these teachers to you in a moment but first...
Hi, my name is Teddie Ziegler and I’ve been around horses since 1st grade and have been training them professionally since I left college.
Like you, all I’ve ever wanted is to be close to my horses and I had always done everything by the book to achieve this.
As a horse-crazed kid I’d gone to pony club and training camps, followed the traditional training path and studied with some of the best-known names in the industry before deciding to become a trainer myself.
I have always believed in and trained without using force and thought my own horses were perfect, loving angels until the day I discovered they had just been using me as a feed dispenser.
As you can imagine, this was quite a shock as were the events leading up to it so let me tell you what happened...
I was out in my truck one night on my way back from having dinner with friends. I was sitting stopped at a traffic light thinking about the stories and laughs we had just shared when...
Suddenly everything went blank
The next thing I knew I was waking up in the hospital feeling like I had been thrown off my horse and then trampled on for good measure.
My back hurt, my chest ached and I felt battered and bruised all over.
My truck had been hit in the rear by a drunk driver and it pushed me into the truck in front and I got squashed like a sardine in a can.
This was in the days before airbags and the doctors said I was lucky to be alive. I didn’t feel so lucky.
They said my spinal cord was so badly damaged I might never walk again and surgery was the best option.
I didn’t like the sound of surgery and opted for the therapy option instead.
The doctors thought I was nuts but reluctantly agreed and after several months of treatment, I was finally released from the hospital in a wheelchair.
Having been away for so long, all I wanted to do was get home and see my 2 horses, Jazz and Apollo.
When I got out to the paddock I expected them to come running up to me but instead they acted like they couldn't care less and just carried on grazing.
I figured it was because they were unfamiliar with my wheelchair but it would pass and we'd soon be back to how we always were.
But the next day it was the same and the one after that too. I didn't understand at first but then it dawned on me...
They'd only been interested in me before because I'd been bringing them food and now I couldn't they'd lost all interest.
This came as crushing blow after everything else I'd been through. I couldn't believe it.
Imagine how would you feel if your horse started to blank you out like you didn’t even exist. It was horrible.
Each day I’d visit them hoping they’d come round and each evening I’d ride home in the truck with tears in my eyes.
I’d been dumped by boyfriends in the past but this felt far worse. At one point I felt so low I even considered selling them and getting out of the horse world altogether.
I knew in my heart that was never really an option though and decided I had to find a way to win them back. But how?
I went back to all the training manuals I’d collected over the years but none of them catered for someone who couldn’t move around. It was really frustrating.
One day I went with my Mom to our local library and while we were there I came across a book on Bedouins and how they developed such a strong bond with their horses because of the prolonged periods of time they spent together, including sharing a tent at night.
This was the inspiration I was looking for and so the next day, I asked my friend to put me up on the oldest of the two horses, Jazz.
I had no ability to move my legs so if Jazz had moved quickly or wanted me off, I had no means of staying on but, perhaps remembering how I’d rescued him from an abusive owner, he just stood there like a statue.
This then became a regular routine for us, I would be helped onto his back and would sit or lie down while he walked slowly around, stopping and eating, just like horses do.
Keeping us company were my friend’s horses in the paddock next door. My favorite thing was to lie on Jazz’s back and watch the clouds go by while listening to him and the others eat grass. It was heaven.
As lovely as these moments were though, I began to get frustrated because I couldn’t do any training but little did I know...
I had taken to lying facing forward on Jazz’s back with my head just above his neck peering between his ears so that I could see the world through his eyes.
I imagined myself being a part of him and tried to get in tune with his breathing. I began to pick up on all the tiny muscle movements in his neck and along his back.
I could feel when he became tense or relaxed and what each meant and how just a twitch of his ears was enough to alert the other horses.
I started to spot patterns I'd never noticed before in the movements, behaviour and communication of the other horses.
I watched the structure of the herd get reinforced by tiny interactions and so I started to journal them all in a notebook I brought with me.
I was getting a real insider’s view of the workings of the herd and after a while they stopped treating me as an outsider and I simply became a part of the herd.
It was a bit like that old Larson ‘Far Side’ cartoon if you know it:
At the same time though, I began to wonder why none of this had been taught in any of the traditional training I'd done. I double-checked the manuals but they were all written from the human’s point of view, never the horse’s.
So I went back to the library started reading all the books I could find on wild horse behaviour to see if what I was seeing had been witnessed elsewhere.
By collating observations recorded in these books and comparing them to what I’d witnessed, I slowly began to decode the horse’s way of life and conventions.
What I discovered was that there is a kind of universal language used by all horses, both wild and domestic, which determines how relationships are formed and strengthened.
I began to understand how vitally important the herd is to the health and well-being of every horse in it.
The horses in a herd literally and figuratively look out for each other and through this mutual protection I understood how their trust is built and reinforced.
So when I was with the horses I began to pay close attention to our surroundings too and took on the role of interpreter of the human intrusions into their world.
For example, one day a cyclist dressed in full off-road gear went speeding along the track next to the field and I immediately felt Jazz tense up underneath me.
His reaction caused the heads of the other horses to lift up but I just breathed deeply and relaxed and could feel him start to do the same.
Picking up on the energy coming from both of us the other horses dropped their heads again and went back to grazing. It was truly a unique education I was experiencing.
Of course, alongside all of this, I was still undergoing physical therapy and very slowly I began to regain feeling in my legs.
In retrospect, I’m pretty sure being sat on Jazz helped too given what we now know about how much riding can help people with certain disabilities.
Within a few months, I took my first tentative steps and before long as I was out walking around in the meadow with Jazz and Apollo.
I continued to play my role in the herd though and both of them continued to relate to me as an insider and totally differently to the way they did before the accident.
Where they previously ignored me or walked away from me when it wasn't feeding time, now they sought my company and when I wandered off they followed after me.
Where before they might have spooked or bolted at the first sign of danger, now they came to me for protection because they trusted me.
These were huge advances in themselves but do you know where I felt the biggest change?
In my heart.
I already knew what I had before had been merely a working relationship with them but what began to take its place was this deep connection I could feel right in my heart.
The difference was like night and day.
As great as this was though, I was concerned that the spell would be broken when I had to ask them to do something, especially as I knew we were due a visit from the farrier to check their hooves, which both of them hated.
But I had a plan.
During the long weeks spent on Jazz’s back, I had also become fascinated by the old mare belonging to my friend and how she was able to direct the other much larger, younger horses around her.
She didn’t do this by being aggressive but by using her awareness and attention to care for them and her focus to keep them in line and get their cooperation.
And the weird thing was that the other horses seemed to be drawn to her as a result. It was a complete revelation to me.
So in the week leading up to the farrier’s visit, I started to try some of things I'd seen her doing.
The relief I felt when Jazz and Apollo not only responded the same way but continued to stay close to me was such a weight off my shoulders because I knew everything was going to be fine.
I realized that when you have the the same bonded trust and connection horses share with each other in a herd, it’s far easier to get the response you want from your horse.
By the time the farrier visited, they were like pussycats with him compared to the last time he’d visited. He couldn't believe it. He told me that he never seen such calm, well-mannered horses before.
This just wouldn't have been possible without the solid foundation we shared together as a herd.
The time we had spent together and the level of trust we had developed meant they knew I was looking out for them and wanted only the best for them.
When I was finally released to ride again, it was amazing! I had ridden Jazz hundreds of time before but never like this.
After the months I’d spent on his back, we were totally in tune with each other and as a result our movement together riding was just magical. We were truly 2 hearts beating as 1, it was how I had always dreamt it could be.
The combination of just spending time with my horses, mixed in with the lead mare’s strategies, was like a magic key which had suddenly unlocked levels of trust, respect and love from them beyond anything I had experienced before.
Even though it didn’t feel like it at the time, my accident turned out to be a blessing in disguise.
My inability gave me a gift, the gift of time which had allowed me to become the loving partner and leader I had always wanted to be with my horses.
Jazz and Apollo, along with the horses next door, taught far more about horse relationships than all the training manuals I had gathering dust on my shelves at home ever did.
If you hadn’t guessed already, my maverick trainer is my horse, Jazz.
He allowed me into his world and helped me understand it. 27 years later and I'm still learning from him.
So let me ask you, what's the name of your maverick trainer?
You have your own Jazz out there in the pasture or barn right now, waiting to show you his world too.
Allow him to show you who he is, how he wants to connect and how he wants the relationship between the 2 of you to develop.
If you want to have a lasting trust and soul connection with your horse, shouldn't you simply ask him or her to show you?
I could tell you how just spending time with your horse will be the easiest, most effective training approach you will ever use, but I won’t, I want you to discover it for yourself.
The months I spent on Jazz’s back with no agenda transformed our relationship and it can for you too if you give you and your horse the gift of time and patience.
And when you have that foundation in place, you won’t believe how deep your relationship together will grow and what's possible for the two of you.
I’ve seen so many women come to my clinics struggling because they think that when the going gets tough, they have to get tough too and they are so relieved when they discover that it’s just not true.
When you allow your relationship with your horse to develop naturally it allows you to stay true to your essence and inner values.
Imagine… in a few short weeks from now, when your horse comes rushing to the gate to greet you like a long-lost friend who hasn’t seen you in years.
Imagine… the feeling you will have when the two of you are in perfect unison and communicating intuitively.
Imagine… going out for a walk with your horse confident that he'll stay by your side even without a halter, and without fear that he will suddenly bolt.
So now you have a choice.
Take the lessons I have shared with you and implement them yourself.
Allow me to share with you the detailed and easy-to-follow steps and frameworks I’ve put together to walk you through the whole process.
There's so much I'd love to share with you such as:
All of this and more is waiting for you inside my brand new online program called - Hanging With Your Horse.

The 5 Stepping Stones To Connection
And if all that wasn’t enough, I am also going to give you access to an additional program I have created called the ‘5 Stepping Stones To Connection’.
This 5 step framework explains how you can move up the pecking order in your herd by seeing the world through your horse's eyes. You will also hear a real-life example of how I used this approach to rescue an apparently dangerous horse that was about to be put down.
For most people, this program alone is a real ‘light bulb’ moment and I’ve even provided a 3 page ‘5 Stepping Stones To Connection’ PDF poster you can print out and stick on the stable door to remind you of what to do.
As I say, I’ve seen so many people struggle unnecessarily with their horses and I don’t want this to be you.
You can try to keep training your horse the old way, but why, it’s only prolonging your frustration.
And if you tell yourself you don’t have enough time to just be with your horse, it means you’ve forgotten what attracted you to horses in the first place - the pure joy of just being with them.
Remember those childhood dreams of dancing with your horse like the boy in ’The Black Stallion’?
That’s what you’re missing out on and that’s what awaits you inside this program, along with the following:
Until I launched the test version of the program, I had never taught this approach outside of my clinics before which students paid upwards of $600 to attend.
And when you’re probably spending between $800 and $1,400 each month on your horse and you're still feeling unfulfilled and unhappy…
What would it be worth to you to come away from the stables feeling on cloud nine?
What would it be worth to you to ride without fear and feel like you are both in total sync?
And what would it be worth to you to have a heart and soul connection with your horse?
As this is a recorded online program, I am able to offer it a significant discount to my private clinics and the usual fee to join Hanging With Your Horse is only $49
When you click the button below you will be taken straight to our secure checkout page and will be viewing the first lesson in a matter of minutes.
And the truth is you cannot afford to waste any more time than you probably already have.
Every day not spent enriching the connection that you have with your horse and deepening the bond of friendship and love between you is a day you won’t get back.
If you’re not yet fully convinced that just hanging out with your horse can help transform your relationship, that’s OK, just try it and convince yourself.
And because I really want you to experience the thrill of your horse falling in love with you, I am giving you not 1 but 2 guarantees so you have no risk and no reason not to get started straight away:
You are fully protected by my 100% Satisfaction Double-Promise Guarantee
If you don’t absolutely love all the content, the coaching and the community inside Hanging With Your Horse and you don’t think it is worth every moment of your investment in it, then contact my support team and I will personally authorize a full refund, no questions asked. That is my first guarantee to you.
If you follow through on all the instructions for the full 14 sessions and don’t witness a noticeable change in the attitude of your horse, then I want you to write to me explaining exactly what you’ve done, what you’ve tried and what you’ve seen happening with your horse and I will personally respond to you with my suggestions on how you should proceed from there.
Working with my horses using this approach enables me to now:
All of this and more is waiting for you inside, so if anything I have said has resonated with you, then you owe it to both you and your horse to join Hanging With Your Horse today.
And if you're thinking, yes, but will it work for me and my horse? Ask yourself this:
How do horses naturally bond when left to their own devices?
That's right, they just hang out together doing nothing in particular and connecting through their non-verbal communication.
This is what you'll be learning to do with your own horse and I will guide you every step of the way.
I always say to students: "You can train obedience but you can't train your way to a richer relationship."
Success is always going to mean stepping out of your comfort zone into the unknown.
So don't let tradition or misplaced fear stand in the way of you achieving your dream of a deeper connection.
Go ahead, click the button below now and I look forward to speaking with you inside the member’s area.
P.S. If you have any questions, there's an FAQ section below or you can ask me or one of my team by clicking the button you see bottom right of the screen.
P.P.S. And here's a summary again of exactly what you're going to get:
14 lessons and stories delivered directly to your inbox by email. In addition, each of these emails contains a link to the HWYH Member's Area where you will then find additional written and video lessons.
Unfortunately that's not possible during HWYH itself but there are definitely opportunities to have personal coaching with me later on if you want to experience what a truly bonded relationship with your horse is like.
Having said that, I'm often inside the Facebook Group so feel free to shout out to me there!
The lessons are sent out every 3 days so you should have plenty of time to do them. The important thing is to be consistent and spend as much time as possible just hanging out with your horse doing nothing. (There's obviously more to it than that and I explain what this looks like inside the program).
Bonus #1 : A special online training class where I will answer some of the most common issues people face with their horses and how to overcome them.
Bonus #2: Access to our private HWYH Facebook Group where you can share your journey with fellow horse lovers and make new friends.
Additional Bonus: The ' 5 Stepping Stones To Connection' Program which will explain how you can take Know-Like-Trust and use it in a way your horse will understand and respond to.
As you can read above, there are actually 2 guarantees as I really want to take away all the risk and any reason you might have for delaying joining.
No, you get lifetime access, so even if for some reason you get behind, you won't miss out. What I recommend is that you make a special folder or label inside your email program for all the HWYH emails so that you can refer back to them later.
As I mentioned above the 5 Stepping Stones To Connection is 5 step framework you can start using right away to start seeing the world through your horse's eyes.
If you don't do this, it will be like speaking a language your horse can't understand or interpret.
All the horse behaviour I have observed in the years since the accident have only reinforced my findings back then. If you don't start communicating with your horse on his terms, not yours, you will never achieve the trust and connection you want. This program will help you start that process.
Along with the videos and the 'pin on the barn door' PDF Poster, you will also hear a real-life example of how I used the 5 Stepping Stones to rescue an apparently dangerous horse that was about to be put down.
So if you're not quite ready to join right now and would like to get to know me a little better then...
